Uganda Update

Uganda Update

The owners of Stony Brook Gardens recently returned from a trip to Uganda, Africa where they brought their expertise on drip irrigation, composting, and seed starting to the people of Namayumba-Nakedde, Uganda. While there they witnessed the poverty, desperations, and struggles yet their lives are still filled with hope.

It has become our mission to help these people improve the ways they grow their food. More Ugandans died of starvation due to the lockdowns than from Covid. The people struggle to feed themselves. It is our hope you will join us by donating $100 which will provide each family with the materials needed to install a "gravity-fed" drip irrigation system. We have trained 2 mission employees (Denis and Clayan) in the installation process.

We will have more photos and info at the garden center shortly and we will be more than happy to discuss our experience with you. Thank you for caring!

UPDATE: To donate, please visit the "Good Measure International" website, click "donate", select "Abundant Blessings Ministries (Uganda)" and specify that your donation is toward the Uganda drip irrigation project.

The Story Continues:

Greetings, dear supporters! We are delighted to share a heartwarming update from our recent Uganda trip, where we brought our expertise on drip irrigation, composting, and seed starting to the people of Namayumba-Nakedde, Uganda. Witness the astounding progress through two before pictures from February and two after pictures from June, showcasing the remarkable transformation on this farm. We are proud to highlight AR's good friend, Denis, who received training in the installation process and is pictured in two of the photos below. We want to emphasize that your continued support is crucial in sustaining this cause. By donating, you can play a pivotal role in empowering communities and creating lasting impact. Together, let's make a difference!
