Stony Brook Gardens is your source for everything you need for your garden. We carry a tremendous selection of landscape plants, fine gardening tools, unusual garden ornaments and much more. We may have the word "Gardens" in our name, but we're so much more. Applicants must be reliable, self-motivated and energetic.

Job Status: Part-time/Full-time

Job Responsibilities:

• Potting and transplanting a variety of plants as necessary
• Tagging plant material
• Placement and restocking of plants to create an appealing and shoppable display
• Maintain inventory and assist Nursery Manager in knowing when stock is low or in need of attention
• Provide exceptional customer service
• Help with the maintenance of a clean working and shopping environment
• Additional responsibilities may be added as the needs of the business change and expand

• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers
• Ability to work both individually and in a team setting
• Ability to follow detailed directions with accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced/constant changing atmosphere
• Attention to detail
• Dependable
• Able to work in all settings and weather
• Must be able to lift 40-60 pounds
